πππππ πππππππ πππππ Token unlocks affect price volatility, market and investor sentiment. These unlocks are the release of previously locked tokens into circulation. Now most projects don't release all its tokens all at once cuz of dilution and the basic economy of supply and demand. To this effect only a portion of the total supply (minted) tokens are released at launch/TGE (Token Generation Event) with the rest released at intervals, both to cushion the price volatility and for overall token performance health.
