Father Brown is the lead character in the series of books written by G.K. Chesterton titled Father Brown. I saw only a serial and like it very much. And I want to know are books as good as a TV show? Should I read them? I need your advice

Anna, have you read Sherlock Holmes? The idea is somewhat similar, but with a brilliant detective who is also very humane and charitable. He is the antithesis of Sherlock. While one wants to solve crimes, the other wants to save sinners.
