Pre-kids, pre-pandemic, I travelled a lot. My brother in law worked for JetBlue so I could fly anywhere in the US for $100 round trip on standby.

Price and photo ops. I have always been lower middle class by US standards, so I have never taken a trip over $2k all-in. I would love, love to go on safari in Kenya, explore Egypt, visit Turkey, go to Japan, check out Australia, and Indonesia.... but all those are $5k flights
