No one said “the art” which in some ways confirms my feeling that people take for granted how vital it is. It’s so hard to have something that makes people smile out of context and it’s so powerful! I’ve felt for a long time the people assumed Nouns success was inevitable and make a lot of decisions from that perspective because of how great the launch was. My fear is that attitude permeated the DAO and is essentially still active. Which is why we denied so many great projects from legendary people and instead wasted a lot of money on “experiments” from anons.

I believe the variation in price from auction to auction shows some the vitality of the art. If Nouns was just about the DAO then people would not pay a premium for cooler art, but it looks like they do.
