The Colosseum, also known as the Flavian Amphitheater, is an ancient Roman architectural landmark and one of the most grand and famous structures of the ancient world. Construction of the amphitheater began in 72 AD under Emperor Vespasian and was completed in 80 AD during the reign of his son, Titus.
