As previously discussed, we're considering renaming the Warpcast app to Farcaster. Why? - Top priority is grow users on the protocol - The name split is extremely confusing for new users - So, we want to simplify How we're thinking about it - Rename Warpcast mobile app - warpcast.com to farcaster.xyz for web app - Open source both apps - No change protocol name, i.e. similar to Uniswap with app / protocol What we’re doing - Seeking input and want to make sure we understand concerns  - Ultimately Varun and I will make a decision; it won’t be a vote. - Expect a decision in the next week or so; if yes, we will give plenty of notice and will take time to do this correctly / cleanly. How you can provide input - Developers: please reply here or feel free to reach out to me via direct message whether you agree or disagree. - Everyone else: you're free to offer input, but we will be weighting developer input a bit more since it has a bigger near-term impact on what they are building

I believe a lot of projects are a means to an end in the space. Life is better practicing accountability and developing on transparent technology. Projects will come and go, hype will heat up and cool off—yet the use cases of this technology are astounding. It's a net positive for the human race. 👇 We most uphold the possibilities of the space with proper parameters, and contracts to dissuade negative human tendencies, with proven use cases people wants to integrate into existing systems. Long term, I think everyone should be bullish. Short-term fads will fade. Principles will create conviction and confidence, and will keep you steadfast. I'm excited for 2025 and beyond. Godspeed to all building for a better world. 🫡

Norway Shrugged 🇳🇴🤷 My story recently racked up over 100 million views on this website. As a startup founder in Norway I was facing an unrealized gains tax bill many times higher than my net income. No politician ever told me how I'm supposed to pay the bill, but I got put up on the Socialist Left party's "Wall of Shame" for speaking up. With 100 of the top 400 tax payers leaving in just a couple of years present day Norway has chilling similarities to Ayn Rands 1957 dystopia "Atlas Shrugged".
