brighter shores was released this week into mixed reviews — a pretty historical moment in gaming history developed over 14 years by the creator of runescape, andrew gower, brighter shores shares near endless similarities to his original masterpiece i’ve watched a bunch of walk throughs & it literally looks like the CS:GO to 1.6, ie., same gameplay except more polygons, more content & made easier overall, not enough interesting differences for me to want to play, but i hope they can garnish & sustain a community. gower & team deserve it tho, just from what i’ve read in terms of design trade offs, this one unfortunately looks like it’s going to trend down & to the right & is perhaps another victim of a pre-mature release gaming is so unforgiving
