increasingly more 10k fids & below are in my dms calling for me to get LOUDER it appears the inner circle is finally getting pissed off? two notable developments: 1) “get louder for us” — people are scared to speak up due to fear of retribution from ex-cb mafia (this is horrifying, no different than censorship & why we get called linkedin) 2) just talked to a second crypto & fc og who is now advising an fc competitor interested in tokenizing the social graph: one just wants to start a fire; the other is giving “fine i’ll do it myself” energy while i appreciate dans recent visibility on the timeline, we’ve debated this time & time again to no end & nothing has changed out of love for the network, the people want SOME of the 100m+ of capital being SAT ON deployed & deployed LOUDLY starting with ONE non dev hire to run ONE of these initiatives (to start): > eco fund > marketing & ua > branding & optics > grants & devrel > meaningful creator rewards & ambassador program

i don't know how "raises" work. merkle raised 150m. was that money just, like, transferred to them? i always assumed it was scaled in somehow, otherwise arrives with conditions. but if they're sitting on 100m liquid while the network ossifies... well.... that's... something lol

when has the Merkle team ever done acts of retribution? that’s seemingly unfounded, and I say this as someone who has been here from ~the start, likely met the most FCers IRL and URL to date, shared my disagreements publicly, and arguably have a lot to lose.

I know a few sub 20k-ers who made alts out of frustration or straight up quit because of exactly this. Personally, I get the feeling that their view is that they're building for 10 years from now and what happens now won't matter when the world's social graph is decentralized thanks to the generosity of the Merkle gods. We are the impatient plebs who don't know better.

Would be nice by supporting the coins already available in the eco. Imagine a farcaster where degen is part of onboarding, you get an acct but farcaster has acquired a good amount of degen for the people and each day they get a normalized allowance to tip. Tipping being a normal way of rewarding activity, art and any goodwill.
