this is a new user deterrent; i’ve talked about this before too would be good to wipe the bots from follower counts what would you think if you were new here & saw an outsized number of accounts with 50,000+ followers getting 1-5 likes per post? you’d think this place is a ghost town

what makes you think the bots aren't already wiped from the follower counts shown to users? compare any user's followers via WC or Supercast or Firefly or Recaster or Farquest or Neynar hub explorer or Vasco ... BTW, now that the "adjusted" number is being used for real money vis-a-vis weekly rewards, tuning the sensitivity of the follower count adjustment has a hyperbolic effect on the monetary distribution. *** I would like real clarity on future airdrop qualifications. Is it followers? cumulative rewards received? activity? friendly interactions with dwr v and horsefacts? Without this clear public thinking, the death spiral will accelerate as trust leaks

what an awful thing to say :) I think it'd be a meaningful way to un-ghost this place, by discussing value metrics. Even if an airdrop is placed a rolling 2 years in the future. 100k WAU? 10 million MAU? Too much hand-wavy cope about activity imho. Remember all the happypasta about early accounts flippening WC followers vs X followers? Also too much cope about how plenty of people have derived value from being active on WC. This should be quantified and put into perspective. High-talent people find, produce, and attract value. If high-value people spend valuable time building on WC, but collect 1/x of the value they could find elsewhere, their high value effort goes elsewhere and the average remaining level falls lower.
