A big source of asymmetric opportunities this cycle has been seeing something get fudded incorrectly — if you know that the fud is objectively not true and that price has been negatively affected by this false fud, that is a market inefficiency that will eventually get filled.

In October a lot of people thought the AI agents taking off were straight up fake, as in humans typing the tweets. A specific example is the Truth Terminal typo crash, which was a huge buying opportunity on GOAT that got filled within like a day. Recently ai16z got super fudded by the whole MATL thing, but the actual fundamentals of the project hadn’t changed — has 4x’d in a couple weeks since then. 

If you can develop your own conviction around a project and identify times where it’s oversold because of false FUD, those are opportunities to capitalize on. People have PTSD and let their cynicism get in the way of seeing reality clearly

This is my $poly (PolyTrader on Virtuals) theory. 

For N number of reasons folks have spooked when, in actuality…

> it’s one of the few where the dev team is doxxed
> the “agent” is a fully functional product currently in use
> new, meaningful features are regularly being shipped, and 
> the market potential is obvious (the largest consumer crypto app, PolyMarket)

All of that to say I’ve doubled down during this pullback.
