Today’s a milestone. Exactly 10 years — or 3,600 days — of doing at least one 8-minute circuit workout every single day. No breaks. Doesn’t matter where I am or what shape I’m in. I’ve done Seven workouts in some of the strangest places: – in Charles de Gaulle airport waiting for a flight, – in the Los Angeles metro, – in a Las Vegas penthouse, – in a mountain canyon in Kyrgyzstan, – in pitch darkness in a basement. Wherever the app reminded me — I did it. Just to keep the streak alive. It became an obsession — and still is. Even with COVID and a 39°C fever, I would launch a stretch or static workout just to not miss the day.

Some might say it’s a psychological issue. They might be right. Funny thing is, it all started randomly — back in March 2015, when I read about a 7-minute high-intensity workout. Over a couple of months I tried a few apps, and finally came across a new one called Seven, made by Perigee, a Swedish software company that now has many products — but back then, it was just Seven. Step by step, we made it to this milestone. Next goal: 20 years, with yearly milestones in between.
