Jim Simons passed away today. The founder of Renaissance Technologies, he was one of the pioneers of quant trading. I highly recommend reading this book about him: https://www.penguinrandomhouse.com/books/557104/the-man-who-solved-the-market-by-gregory-zuckerman/
