2/ a) the traditional banking system failed us, and we should look for alternatives (like crypto)

b) the gov't stepped in and backstopped the svb collapse. this proves we need gov't regulated banking for us to feel safe (which crypto is generally ethically opposed to)

coinbase is a good example of a crypto company getting their messaging right imo

of course, things are never really this black and white. personally i think crypto banking will have drop its anti-government ethos in order to be successful at a large scale
