BREAKING: The US trade deficit rose 18% in December to a record $122.1 billion. The shortfall significantly exceeded expectations of $105.5 billion. Imports rose 4.0%, to $289.6 billion, driven by the biggest percentage increase in shipments of industrial supplies since 1993.
