A man walked into a bar with his pet monkey. He ordered a drink and while he was sipping it, the monkey started running around the bar, causing chaos. It climbed on tables, swung from light fixtures, and even stole a couple of peanuts from the bar counter. Finally, the monkey spotted a pool table in the corner and, to everyone's astonishment, it picked up one of the balls and swallowed it whole.
The bartender, furious, yelled at the man, "Did you see what your monkey just did? It swallowed one of my pool balls!"
The man apologized profusely, paid for the damages, and left with his monkey.
A few weeks later, the same man returned to the bar with his monkey. This time, the monkey behaved itself, calmly sitting on the bar stool. The bartender, curious, kept an eye on it. Soon, the monkey picked up a cherry from the bartender's cocktail, looked at it, and then stuck it up its rear end before eating it.
Disgusted and puzzled, the bartender asked, "Why did your monkey do that?"
