Love this notification from @clankermon.eth. IMO it's the right balance of "neediness" for this kind of game. I need to log in a few times a week, but I'm not hosed if I miss a day or two. 

I gave up and let my @stokefire village burn down after two or three revives. Too easy for me to miss notifications, too hard to jump into another app, and needed too much attention. (Skill issue, I know)

The balance of notifications in @clankermon.eth is just right for me. @stokefire was too needy, leading to neglect and failure
