Good morning Nouns Flows! A quick update on my upcoming bi-monthly series, Scuffle. We’re already guaranteed to have over 20 entrants, with many more on the way. We also have some top level talent considering making it out. And starting next week, I’ll be streaming out Monday local, Stormy Mondays!

Second update: as part of the Flows program, I’m obligated to share half of the earned money with our competitors in the form of a prize pot. It wouldn’t make a ton of sense for me to apply this to our weekly, so I will be saving up the funds and applying the prize money to the bi-monthlies. This would add a pot bonus of ~$300 in the form of USDC, fulfilling the goal of bringing esports on-chain. The rest of the money will be used for carpool reimbursements to bring more players from out of state, paying artists for promotional assets featuring Nouns branding, and covering event costs (Uhaul, labor, equipment, etc.)

A couple updates. I’ll be streaming our Monday local, Stormy Mondays on the nouns esports channels. Stormy Mondays is an interesting tournament with a HEAVY emphasis on traditional community building. Josh, AKA “Mr. Destruction” has been hosting ~12 people at his house, cooking dinner for them, and hosting a free bracket for the last year. It’s been instrumental in growing our esports community here in Columbus. It’d be an honor to share that with the rest of the Nouns community. I will also be streaming our upcoming bi-monthly series, “Scuffle” on the Nouns channels, starting May 24th.

Columbus runs two weeklies, a free house weekly on Mondays called Stormy Mondays, and a paid bar weekly on Tuesdays called Gar. These feature some of the best players in the world!

The Flows program will primarily fund Columbus's premier bi-monthly series by paying out our top competitors while simultaneously working to bring esports on-chain. We'll be working to stream some of our weeklies to help you get acquainted with our players.

Ohio, like with US presidents and astronauts, is heavily overrepresented in terms of top end Melee talent. Tournaments here get hundreds of enthusiastic entrants. There’s a reason why Nouns has repped this state for several years running now in Gridiron Gateway and Nouns Bowl.
