The multiplication of personalities, caused by traumatic experiences, becomes a defense mechanism that allows one to survive in conditions of constant threat, but it can also become a trap, hindering integration and wholeness.

not too long ago this was explained to me by a trauma therapist . how when we are children we have experiences that we don't know how to cope with and find ways to insulate ourselves from them . it's a short term 'fix' that backfires in the long term . altering these conditions is very difficult . for me meditating , making art : these things have helped . but i am very privileged . it's difficult to fathom the levels of terror that people have to deal with without the proper nurturing and support . 💔❤️‍🩹🖤

I agree with you - creativity is a very strong healing force, art therapy is a very effective method in healing many psychological traumas. As you get older it is very hard to immerse yourself in childhood traumas, but it is very important to improve the quality of your adult life ❤
