It is absolutely true. Psychological abuse can leave deep and lasting wounds, sometimes even more severe than physical abuse, because it cannot be seen, but its effect remains on the soul and mind. Humiliation, control, emotional threats and mental games can destroy a person's self-esteem and mental health.

Yes, as a person who has been subjected to such violence I can say that it is very hard to work through these wounds with a psychologist...but it is important to do it otherwise it is hard to end the relationship with the abuser...unfortunately many people do not even know that they are being abused
