Dumps and landfills in Russia occupy an area comparable in size to Switzerland. And only 7% of waste is recycled. I will never forget the day when I first saw such a landfill, where plastic bags were flying in the sky and all the trees around were covered in bags. The day my journey of small-scale eco-activism and volunteerism began. 2019

Itβs truly eye opening being there in person I can imagine! When living in NYC during the pandemic, there wasa lot of litter flying around as well and it made us feel like we were engulfed by trash ~ something we collectively did to ourselves π 5000 $units

It's horribleπ₯Ί . When the pandemic started, I wondered how the planet would survive so many masks that weren't recycled.
