I don't know about favorite but one of the only games I've never beaten and never will is Shadow of the Beast for Sega.

Oof that's annoying 😭 hardware technicalities ruining your game is the worst of the worst

An undeniably unique, provocative, and creative game, but part of its problem was with its technicals when it was ported to Sega from PC. The timing of hit registering missed the mark so you well and truly were fucked, haha. Spent so much time trying to beat it and gave up!
