In good faith, I want to ask all the non-Trump voters, what are you most afraid of with a Trump presidency? Maybe I can help alleviate your fears in the comments. Again, in good faith.

Oh, good one! Ok, this was an interesting campaign tactic for the Democratic Party. So each side for decades has had think tanks outline what they believe should be the policy of the party leadership. Each party can either take the suggestions or dismiss them. Trump shrugged off the Project. He obviously has his own agenda as you can see what videos he put out today. Here’s a left example of Project 2025. https://www.futureforwardusa.org/issues What the democratic campaign did was brand this as a threat - and a policy agenda for Trump. I don’t think it was as effective as they wanted, because you saw they used this messaging heavy at the beginning of the campaign then switched to “A New away Forward” - that shows it wasn’t resonating with people/ their focus groups.

Question. Did JD Vance write the forward? - I appreciate you taking the time to do this. I’ve gone through multiple stages of grief with this election - anger, sadness, denial.. etc. But now I’m more just intrigued on why. My biggest problem is that I’m gay, black, and a woman. History (his rhetoric of grabbing women by their privates, saying that people who have abortions should be punished no matter the circumstances, the black jobs comment, the felonies, hearing a lot of what he is saying and wondering if he’s actually senile) makes me concerned on how this is going to go. Project 2025 is concerning as well (I think you mentioned something here) And the rhetoric of being isolationist (which makes me wonder why folks in areas of the world think he will save them) However. It’s the people that he has around him that concern me the most. Making me think that he can be manipulated to doing worse. And the 2028 situation also. But perhaps I will check this thread and see what I learn.

So he didn’t write the forward to Project 2025. One of the contributors has a separate book and he knows him and wrote that forward. I appreciate your open mind & heart and I know being on the losing side of any race - but especially one like this - just feels like a gut punch. The people around him - I also hear this one a lot. I think it plays into the idea he will be an authoritarian and have yes men, etc. and so it will feel like he just orders the entire country around with his cabinet. It’s an executive branch of power so no matter how it appears to play nice and not be bossy it’s supposed to make executive decisions. But that’s also why we have the separation of powers. Because the election was “red” he will have the house and senate too. When that happens - the president will say “the people gave me a mandate” cause so many voted for what he campaigned on. So he will address immigration, economy, etc. People like me hope it will help all Americans, black white, gay or straight.
