i view vitalik as an artist who put his art out into the world and now it's up to us to interpret

it's no longer really his, and therefore his opinions are simply that

This is an interesting turn of events , albeit not necessarily a surprise,  there is always a moment where  something like this may happen I think. The “father” appreciating the old days, or having an opinion that is vastly different than status quo (or even different than a particular group of people)
