"Only God Forgives" is a crime thriller film directed by Nicolas Winding Refn. The story takes place in Bangkok, where Julian is a boxer and drug dealer who is seeking revenge after the murder of his brother. His mother, Crystal, who is a kind of matriarch of the family, is also pushing him to finish the job. The colors and music are like you are lost in a beautiful nightmare. This film made a lot of noise at the Cannes Film Festival, some loved it, some hated it! Ryan Gosling only has 17 lines of dialogue in the entire film. Refn said that the idea for the film came from wanting to somehow show "God" in a modern story.
