Back in 2021, many passerbys saw OHM as just another ponzu. What I and @langchain and many others saw was a completely new frontier in tokenomics.

The concept of liquidity as a primitive was just starting to be explored. High APYs were still in vogue, as not many had seen the end result of them. The crypto community was just beginning to learn about token inflation, with regular threads by fisk, couch and others exploring the implications of it.

I don't think people give Olympus enough credit with what we know in defi. Liquid (Not so subtle baseline shill ๐Ÿ™ƒ)

It was very surreal being in the middle of it all, having the entire crypto world's eyes on your project, punctuated by a simple tweet by Grimesz. https://x.com/Grimezsz/status/1449528005966000129

Unforgettable project and an incredibly fun time. Learned so, so much, and of course many things we brought forward into Baseline. My life has been greatly influenced by it, and I will never not be grateful for the people and experiences I had

To those who think it's dead: What is dead may never die Olympus is alive and well, bouncing off it's bottom with a really powerful system for accruing value to it's backing, and a way for users to have fixed rate loans against their OHM. The community is strong and hopeful for the future.
