I wanted to do something special for my partner this Valentine's Day, so I created Together.sol - a smart contract that will one day hold our wedding vows and rings on Ethereum.

The contract is designed with two unique token rings that can only be minted after we both submit our vows on-chain. 

Once exchanged, these rings are truly eternal. They can't be transferred, burned, or modified. Just like our commitment would be.

As a gay couple in Canada, we're fortunate to live where our right to marriage is protected. But watching recent events in the US reminds us that these rights can be fragile.

No court decision, political shift, or social change can ever erase what we store onchain.

While we don't have immediate plans to marry, building this contract is my way of saying: whenever we're ready, our digital ceremony awaits us on the blockchain.
