While I love being with my parents and in-laws for the holidays, I am so happy to be back home now 😭😭😭

Why is it so difficult the longer we stay with them 🤔 
Is it because they expect us to have not changed from when we moved out? And we have changed? But we are (or feel) confined to our former selves?

With my parents at least, they tend to be overly involved and interested in whats happening, moving out no longer gave them that, so when we’re visiting they have this excess energy to spend that I just can’t handle a lot of the time.

OMG my mom becomes a chatty Cathy and then I just run out of energy and just go mhmm yup
Cause I'm too exhausted to have a conversation 🫠
