Memes are intertextual and referential but Coins don't make these properties as legible as they could. When I see $horsephin I wish I could trace its evolution back to $horse and follow the network of references. Even better if attention and value could flow through it too. 0xC88E76E7b8024475045fAa69616162CA1D3D97fc

Small brain dump incoming, so please excuse any mistypes. - Agree. I think we had a really good version of this when we had our “Canvas Create” tool with the stickers and remixing abilities. It would create a split with the original creator of the chosen sticker and rewards would go to both the original creator and the remixer. It was also nice since on the mint page you could see what sticker was used and who its creator was and it would link you back to that original post. - Agree.2. With crypto-created memes, like Jacob’s horse, becoming a thing of its own in the normie world, remixes and edits pointing back to the original would make the original more valuable in the early stages of its lifecycle. - Disagree(and counter point to myself) Post that have evolved past there original inherent the “Mona Lisa effect” were remixes and edits are made on an exponential scale and make the original valuable without needing to rely on provenance simply because the original has become a phenomenon.
