Are you attending Korea Blockchain Week (KBW)? If you're into gaming, you won't want to miss these amazing side parties. I've put together a list of the best gaming-focused events happening alongside KBW. Which one are you most excited to attend?

Krafton needs Web3 marketing agency? I'm wary of you guys falling into the trap of over-preoccupation. It's like the slow rug rumor that spread because Limit Break didn't get buzz. Why they need Marketing Agency?

When you're marketing to the gaming market, I think the most difficult regions to market to are Southeast Asia and Japan. Southeast Asia is difficult because it takes time to understand the community vibe. The games that are doing well in the Ronin chain are hard to translate into simple β€œgaming”. You need to find commonalities in the games that are doing well and reach out to the community. In Japan, it's completely disconnected from sector trends. It's incomprehensible, and the games that are talked about inside of them really don't feel like what we think of as 'making money'.

Don't Fade Fantasy Top Fantasy Top could prove that dApps can be more valuable than chains. It's like a Starbucks coffee shop that gets a deal to be on the ground floor of a skyscraper.

Story Protocol is an ambitious project aimed at solving the complex issue of intellectual property (IP) management in the age of AI and blockchain. By positioning itself as a key player in IP rights, the protocol could potentially revolutionize how game companies operate, allowing them to earn revenue from user-generated content and fostering a shift towards a Web3 mindset. While its success is uncertain, the project has the potential to transform the gaming industry by enabling new ways to manage and monetize creative content.

I don't recommend buying game tokens. Don't look for fundamentals in game coins. If you really want to buy and sell altcoins, buy and sell meme coins.

Watch to Earn may be trending as a new meta. It's a marketing approach already practiced by platform giants like Twitch and Discord, and it's a good thing for those who want to β€œreally support” creators from the bottom up. Perhaps Wildcard is a pioneer in this direction.

Is P2E gaming sustainable? Or are they attractive because they're speculative? Do we need to find people to play games? Or should we find people to buy tokens? Rarely, if ever, do we satisfy both. It's a dilemma.

I like the projects that built up from 2022, but I don't like the projects that encouraged "in-community activity" from 2021. That's kind of a "holder's territory". Instead, pay attention to the community and game projects that started in 2022 but didn't really have any rewards. Perhaps they will have an easier time reaching Tier 2 CEX. So, I'm very interested in Avalon.

Game project airdrops are highly anticipated for a simple reason. The number of eligible participants can be small compared to the amount of rewards. If the game-fi farming you're participating in only consists of thousands of bots and clicks, it's not going to reward you with a satisfactory result. It's a good indicator to know how they reward P2A, what advantages they give to NFT holders, and how they weed out dormant users.

Are there any games that Coinbase might like? I think Coinbase is the destination for the gaming sector these days, and I'd like to point out three projects that I think are worth keeping an eye on: SuperChamp, Avalon, and Azra Games. If you think about gaming chains, I will pick B3, Proof of Play (APEX).
