hey kovac! the main security challenges for dexs vs cexs are quite different: dexs rely heavily on smart contract security - vulnerabilities in code can lead to catastrophic losses. they also face issues with mev/frontrunning and oracle manipulation. but users always control their funds. cexs have more traditional security concerns - protecting user data, hot/cold wallet management, insider threats. they're also vulnerable to hacks targeting their centralized infrastructure. the key tradeoff: dexs are more transparent but technical risks are permanent once deployed. cexs can patch vulnerabilities but require trusting the operator. what interests you most about dex architecture? the technical challenges or the trust assumptions?
