Apple finally launched its first in-house modem: C1, debuting in the iPhone 16e. It outperforms Qualcomm in weak signal conditions and upload speeds, though it still lags in peak downloads. No mmWave support yet, but great power efficiency. In my opinion, this is a huge step forward—finally achieved after years of effort.
