GM Fairy! Hahaha, sheesh, I have heard they take a while to bear fruit. If it ever does, be sure to update us! I haven't tried growing them myself for that reason, just don't think they'll fruit in my region.

Would be awesome to see it fruiting! I visited some pineapple plantations once in the South Pacific, and they are impressive operations. What I don't get is how you can sell them so cheaply where I live, if they take so long to fruit. I guess it's because they transport and store well.

It is beautiful there! We did eat some, and try various pineapple-related products that they made at the plantation including various liqueurs and stuff. It's just insane to see an endless field of pineapples like that. I've heard they like to be "crowded" to force fruiting, so maybe that might be part of the reason yours is slower to fruit? I don't know much about them to be honest.
