I'm excited to announce I've started /herd to build the next-generation explorer that we all have really wanted (and needed).

It’s time to smarten up crypto agents and humans by dumbing down smart contracts.

Over the last five years, I've tried teaching hundreds of thousands of people how to find and understand smart contracts. Less than 0.01% have the privilege and time to master those skills.

Protocols are made up of dozens of contracts, constantly changing and upgrading.

Exploring protocols in the context of each other has long been accessible only to top-level devs and analysts. We believe AI agents can make it easier to search, understand, and act onchain.

I launched Sage last fall to test the AI part of the thesis, and we've already helped over 500 beta users find and understand contracts 10x faster than before.

Smart contracts are hard to find and understand. Everyone knows the experience of having ten tabs  open just trying to find the right function or contract.

You could create a new token on a platform such as Virtuals, reward those who mint the bonding curve using Boost, make mint fee payable from any chain using Relay, launch it into a Uniswap pool, and reward LPs with a portion of your fee earnings using 0xSplits, save any passively earned ETH on Aave, and then let collectors run and vote in fun contests on Jokerace on how to spend the ETH.

But that flow above has to be done across almost a dozen different web pages or explorer tabs today. It also involves 50+ contracts - and having any technical or non-technical person understand, analyze, and build on top that design space would be insane.

But it shouldn't be that hard. We believe exploring onchain should be a collaborative, multiplayer experience between humans and agents.

But this is about more than "finding and understanding the data." The true value of composability is locked away in sequential flows between protocols, that most builders and users can't easily access.
