โœจIntroducing "Farcaster Trends", a dashboard where you can find, track, and analyze trends across users, channels, and words. Want to find trending users or channels based on influencer they interact with? Or filter on those by nouns holders? Then this one is for you ๐Ÿ˜ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cy9ezbbh9FY

The dashboard can be found bellow For the builders, think of the "all active farcaster users" and "all active farcaster channels" queries as your base tables for building off of (in Dune or API). Both contain dozens of metrics from offchain and onchain. https://dune.com/ilemi/farcaster-explorer

For starters, let's take a look at words. I implemented TF-IDF so that you can has a frequency, quality, and uniqueness check on trending words on Farcaster. Not surprisingly, we see mint, degen, nft, and base in here. You can filter for trending in a specific channel too.

Next up, we have user tiers. I created five tiers of users "npc, active, star, influencer, and vip". You can find the definitions for them in the dashboard, but this gives us an immediate quality filter (which was already applied to the trending words query ๐Ÿ˜‰)

For tracking all users, you can see not only their farcaster activity and onchain txs/volume/contract deploys, but also their top channels and top shared domains (in links).

There is a "trending users" query that lets you apply six different filters. Below I've applied filters for "users that @jessepollak has followed who are less than 7 days old and sorted by week over week growth in engagement" These might be some up and coming base builders ๐Ÿ‘€

Next up are channels. I've created five tiers of channels, seen below. This is mostly inspired by how subreddit work. There are roughly 130 high quality channels (niche+).

Looking at the "all channels" summary, we can start to get some interesting insight by layering in our user tiers. Not only can we see channel activity, but we can see the activity by quality of the user (and most active high quality users).

Imagine you wanted to find new channels that had the most active influencers - you can use filters on the trending channels query for that! Looks like there are a few small channels that might be worth checking out and joining early ๐Ÿ‘€

This is just the tip of data iceberg, it's the first time that this kind of combined identity/social/transaction analysis is possible basically for free for anyone. I'm really excited to see what you all find and build with this ๐Ÿ˜ https://dune.com/ilemi/farcaster-explorer

this is so awesome! one small nit: /base is called onchain-summer in the dash. this is because that's what it was originally called. any chance you can update to base?

10000 $DEGEN So dope for putting this together, those queries are ๐Ÿ”ฅ and are super helpful for others building too. Thanks for building with open tools and in public ๐ŸŽฉ.
