Hard to find a downside, I think. There is plenty of good art around.

I've been trying to puzzle it out. There is even more than one bot replying me. Whatever, go with the flow. Have a great day!

Ohh... at first I tryed to cast @ilannnnnnnnkatin 's quote of this, but since I'm an eternal noob at this, I did NOT succeed. In a nut shell, he said what I think is (or should be) common knowledge. @y0b 's point of view is not to be ignored, AT ALL. Btw, 50 $degen (one of the bots tells me I still can tip it)

It is a great conversation. I went back to the thread and read it. There are also some subjective reasons for collecting art. It may vary from people to people. I like to have at home art made by friends. It is a way of having them around. ๐Ÿ˜‰

how do you think about the term 'having around' when you consider ownership of digital assets ?

Glad you did. It takes even more to make me cast something... ask Len, but you know you don't have to. I wish I could have quoted your reply or recast or whatever as it was originally.. not savvy enough, sorry. Thing is... I've been around here for a few weeks now, and I see that some of the people that interact with me every other day, don't get the value of investing in art... smart people, brilliant people... I don't get it. Well... we'll talk this stuff later in private. Just couldn't not reply. Best wishes mate.

that's a good point . this baffles me somewhat as well . sometimes think that art and art making is a bit like a fish bowl with lots of fish chatting away and the rest of the world walk by glancing briefly and thinking 'oh nice' and then going on about their lives . but then again that can be said for many things . like all the academic research being done . or stories being investigated etc . there is an upper limit for investment in attention . once and a while something hits me like a wave and start to engage more deeply here . thus these outpourings . unfortunately it's not very sustainable and often amazed at how some people (and that's not many) can keep pressing themselves into these mediums of communication . personally prefer to make art . but it's nice to have a channel to pour into when the wave hits .

I agree that there is a limit of attention one can give to things in general. But it is also a Zeitgeist this search for novelty - as if everything else would be boring if not worth it. It creates superficial relationships which are the core of most social media. But even if you go to a museu, you see a great amazing of people just walking around. I donโ€™t find it totally bad. At some point they can be touched by something. But for me the big question is how to live in a superficial society not being a superficial person. I struggle with this since โ€œalwaysโ€. Of course there are bubbles and fish bowls that are different. But in general, it is tough.
