The difference is money. When you earn something it’s bragging rights in the gaming world. If you buy it then it’s hated. Web3 gaming is seen as a worse form of micro transactions. As long as the rewards aren’t monetary people will love it.

People are really confused about the Apple Vision Pro. It’s called pro for a reason. Like the other pro models it’s the more premium offering. I expect a regular version just called Apple vision to come out in about a year or two that’d bring down costs to about $1500 which is much more more affordable.
