I think the most I ever ran on a treadmill was 3.5 miles and only with the help of 5-hr energy (which almost killed me).

I have read somewhere that not everyone is meant for long distance running and trust me I have tried. I used to run track and field short distances and was great at it, but ask me to run 3 miles and I am 💀. I do well in short bursts like in ice hockey, but not gradual running. I guess the 3 determining things are muscle fiber type, how long muscles can sustain effort before fatiguing, and the max O2 a person can utilize during a workout. I am still always amazed about people running crazy distances (across deserts etc..)
