Haven't posted in 2 months, but streaks sound fun. As I warm up, here's a story of why the internet wouldn't have happened without JFK. JFK was concerned with how slow the rotary phones were at conveying information. In the event of a nuclear attack America needed a better system. He hired JCR Licklider, who's work laid the foundation for ARPANET. Fear was a driving motivator in the creation of the internet.
