quote from X: "Collecting digital art should be fun, social and a part of your everyday life"... I still can't understand this Western cultural code... what does it mean that "collecting should be fun"? Like I collect and laugh at the same time in front of the screen? 😅

agree that it's not very descriptive . at least something along the lines of 'interesting' or 'a journey of exploration' . although do have to admit that have had a good amount of laughs looking at some crypto art in the past while collecting . so it's not entirely in the realm of fantasy . a lot better than 'collect are and be miserable' .

I honestly like "collect and be miserable" more (probably this is where the difference between cultures lies - although I'm not sure) I really like it when art makes me melancholic or makes me think about something dark/scary/outrageous - from the point of view of the human autonomic system, these are not the most common reasons for the release of dopamine :D (I appreciated the "laughed and collected" part, a good punchline)

it's a preference . do appreciate a variety of messages . even better when one can feel many sensations . it takes a degree of mastering subtlety . nuance .
