One strange lesson I've learned as a founder is importance of distinguishing "good pain" from "dumb pain" – aka when to lean into hard things vs when to try something else.

Tier 0: run from all pain
Tier 1: ignore pain 
Tier 2: embrace good pain, avoid dumb pain

e.g.

good pain: hand to hand combat doing sales 

bad pain: trying to scale a process that doesn't need scaling
