Success isn’t just about pushing through—it’s also about knowing when to shift gears. 
How do you decide when it’s time to pivot or change direction versus staying the course and pushing through challenges?

There have been several times in my life when I had to completely change directions to get back on my path. Once when I sold my first business, the pizza franchise and began to pursue SEO. A 2nd time when I decided to move 3000 miles from home to start a digital marketing firm in Portland. 

Both decisions turned out for the best—not because they were huge successes, but because they taught me a lot and put my on the path that I’m on now. I don’t know if I can put my finger on how I knew it was time to pivot, but I did.

For every man, there is the elastic limit for your fortitude and also the breaking point. You must never allow yourself to reach the latter, hence, when you get to the former, you must pull out. 

When you no longer feel the interest of what you do and it no longer seems to have a future for you, there is no point in staying back. 

It's always very hard to start something new, the fear of the unknown will want to keep you doing the old thing even when it's hurting or not serving its' purpose. 

One thing is certain, life is an adventure and you must be ready to shift gear when such times come. Explore and live life, don't just endure.
