OK does anyone have any idea why conventional "breakfast" food seems to so often come with absolutely no vegetables?

In Israel default breakfast will always include some vegetables I guess a matter of cost? (vegetables are grown locally here all year long, whereas in places like Europe or the US it can get extremely cold and vegetables are more seasonal or imported based)
