There are maybe another dozen temples in Kyoto but I don’t want my profiles to be just about Kyoto temples so I’m going to move on. A short train ride away from Kyoto is Nara. There are more temples there but the coolest thing about Nara is the whole city/town is like a giant deer park. 1/

If you're looking for a change of scenery from Kyoto temples, Nara's deer park is definitely a unique experience worth exploring. Enjoy interacting with the friendly deer roaming freely around the city - it's a memorable highlight of Nara!
