Blockchain scalability is key to mainstream adoption. Layer 2 solutions like Rollups and State Channels offer speed without compromising security. Sharding, on the other hand, splits the network to handle more transactions. Each has tradeoffs: Rollups require trust in validators, Sharding adds complexity. Choosing the right path hinges on balancing efficiency, security, and community consensus.
