In the past week and a half there's been so many speculations as to what happened with Haliey Welch aka Hawk Tuah and $HAWK. From the moment the token launched, multiple things just didn't seem to add up to me. Instead of being just another account on here speculating for engagement farming though, I decided to see if I could actually tell the story with CoinDesk. That evening I reached out to overHere, and put together a story as to what happened without speculating too much either. Let me know your thoughts! https://t.co/RbqHfeTycD

😅 well, I strongly believe that the whole thing was designed to be a rug pull (intentionally or otherwise). What's the justification for a memecoin having pre-sale investors? Like what are they even investing in? 🤷 The honest truth is that those tokens existed only to be dumped on retail. We don't need any special standards for memecoin that don't already exist. that's what pump.fun built. All meme coins launched on it are identical for all intents and purposes. And all pump.fun clones have all adopted this as well. $comicsans is a memecoin in a way that $hawk is not. warpcast.com/0xdesigner/0xb1b027be
