Can someone explain to me the difference between a vault that has a 5% return via native yield, 0% return via USDC vs one that is 0% return on native yield, 5% return on USDC?

I know that only the native yield is considered when the performance fee is calculated, but there must be something else that I am missing.

The reason I ask is cause I have some funds in the USDC universal vault on Base and I'm not seeing any returns accrue.
