well, england is more complex.. with the royalty.. they are already the owners.. and they don't need money..

still the owners.. I think one cannot buy england without dealing with them at some point and they may have some ways to influence or avoid that possibility

anyway, you are right, they are not "political" per se (same for spain royalty.. but we all know who are their favorites and they do "covered" political stuff too, political neutrality is like the bigfoot..)
