This is long-winded, but hear me out…I posted it somewhere else, but I figured I would post here too.

I've been thinking about the burning of Teslas and the broader discussion around Tesla vandalism in the context of American history. There's a real dichotomy at play here—one that directly parallels the revolutionary roots of this country.

The right idolizes the Founding Fathers, yet they conveniently ignore the fact that those men were considered radical extremists in their time. One of their first major acts of defiance? The Boston Tea Party—a protest against an oppressive government regime imposing taxes and regulations without representation.

Musk is the richest human in history and one of the most powerful figures in American government and yet nobody elected him to any office. Tesla, his multinational corporation, has received billions in government funding. And while he continues to collect taxpayer money, he's also gutting thousands of government jobs, claiming it's to "save the government." Meanwhile, his own funding remains untouched.

So, tell me how is what’s happening to Tesla any different from what happened to the British East India Company?

To me, this seems like one of the most authentically American acts of protest we’ve seen in a long time and it is perhaps the most historically originalist forms of resistance imaginable.

That tea wasn’t just random cargo. It belonged to the British East India Company—a multinational corporation backed by the British Crown (King George III, an unelected autocrat). The Crown’s government interference gave them an unfair market advantage, and the Founding Fathers fought back by financially crippling them—destroying their inventory in a direct act of economic sabotage. Let’s not forget that more than half of the American colonists supported the British. Many saw the Sons of Liberty as terrorists and called for them to be hanged.

Now, let’s fast forward to Elon Musk....
