- modular L3s
- Farcaster
- wallet abstractions
- gas subsidy tooling
- restaking systems
- etc

With these, we can now build things not possible before… but will take more time…

After a custom config change on Friday at 11 AM PT, two Conduit chains, Degen and Proof of Play’s Apex, stopped posting batches for more than 24 hours. Upon resuming, the first batches triggered reorgs on both chains.

We’re working with both teams and Offchain Labs to restore service and minimize impact to users.

UPDATE: Conduit is working to recover Degen Chain after an update that also impacted Proof of Play's Apex L3.

Syndicate is communicating with teams in the Degen ecosystem. We're happy to coordinate with any group affected as Conduit resyncs the chain.

Leaving LA post FarCon and feeling incredibly grateful to have the opportunity to work in a space filled with such passionate, talented, and hardworking people.

We may have very different interests and focuses, we may not get to work together directly, but I seriously hope you all do well and win—in work and life.

why wouldn't they fork farcaster? they could presumably achieve consensus of the new thing with enough scale.

One of the hardest parts building in web3.

There are examples that come to mind like Base, Uniswap, 1inch, Zora, Blur, etc.

But it’s a tough problem. I don’t know how we best get there, but in the end, imho apps and user communities should win and get most of the value (from underlying protocols?)

I’ve been struggling with this question a lot with this since covid. It’s definitely the case if you’re in AI or many areas of tech. It was the case with crypto in 2018, but now it’s not as clear since so many companies are remote (including ours).

Might be over thinking it but am staying in SF (for now)!
