I'm not sure this is accurate, mate. This is what I'm seeing here in passkey settings: `chrome://settings/passkeys`

Very concerned about users losing these keys!!

Can anyone confirm these keys are backed up for (Chrome) Smart Wallet users? These keys should be treated as ephemeral until then.

It's ecosystem dependent, but you can have device-bound passkeys, or synced passkeys. Current support: https://passkeys.dev/device-support/

MacOS does now support synced passkeys via iCloud Keychain, if you're logged in with the same apple id. On chrome: https://developer.chrome.com/blog/passkeys-on-icloud-keychain

As that first link gets into, you can also use third party passkey providers / password managers, some offer cross-device syncing, not tied to a single ecosystem. Everything comes with different risks of course.
